We are organizing the Traditional Arts Contemporary Series to produce and support content that brings the public closer to traditional arts and helps them to gain familiarity with them.
<The People Outside the Door>, which stemmed from the question, “Where are the boundaries of contemporary traditional arts?” is an experimental stage for the expansion of traditional arts.
This project is aimed at assisting prolific artists who are active beyond the boundaries of the traditional art scene and the domestic performance scene in order to envision the contemporaneity of traditional arts, which should not be limited to genres and regions but extend their reach beyond them.
Public Competition Support for Creation of Contemporary Works: Acceptance of performance plans

Acceptance of performance plans for the succession and popularization of traditional arts and support for production and performance
First year (public competition): Around four performance plans to be selected for a grant of KRW 5 million and continued support for the second year after interim announcement (two cases)
Second year (production support): Two productions to be selected for a grant of up to KRW 20 million, with the decision to provide continued support made following a review
Third year (support for re-performance): Around two productions to be selected for a grant of up to KRW 40 million per work
