Revitalizing Korean Traditional Art in Nursing Homes for the Elderly
We will expand the future value of Korean traditional performing arts beyond the stage, and expand senior’s opportunities to enjoy them in their daily lives at nursing homes.
Traditional performing arts are actively being adopted into leisure and cultural programs for senior citizens who are unable to secure instructors due to high demand.
It is not just a performance or an educational forum, but a program that communicates with the elderly, which is the advantage of Korean traditional performing arts.
We operate a project to promote Korean traditional performing arts in nursing homes. We also have a healing themed Korean traditional performing arts program for nursing homes that house under 9 elderly people, which are prone to be left out.
Since 2018, more than 40 organizations and 160 facilities have participated in our program and more than 1,000 events have been held.
Support Open recruitment for performing art groups and nursing homes
For our Revitalizing Korean Traditional Art in Nursing Homes for the Elderly, we recruit and select Korean traditional performing arts groups and nursing homes that want to participate in our program.
Support Healing connected Korean traditional performing arts program for nursing homes
We developed healing connected Korean traditional performing art programs for senior nursing homes that house under 9 elderly people. Programs are piloted in conjunction with local governments, allowing us to expand the social function and future value of Korean traditional performing arts (2020 Pilot Program).
